The Women of Troy by Euripides

Project Type

Sound Design

Date

November 2025

This Greek tragedy was performed at Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2025. Original music and sound effects for the show were created by Anastasiia Didenko.
Troy is destroyed. Only women remain in the ruins of the city, filled with grief and despair, not knowing what will happen to them next. goal in creating the music and design was to reflect the inner state of the women, their pain and their resistance to the Greeks. They all carry their own pain and tell their own unique stories and each of these stories has its own sound. Here, the cruel, destructive force of the Greek invaders competes with the strength of spirit of the Trojan women, who, despite their pain and loss, retain their dignity and love.
